Google recently began testing a new paid feature that allows qualifying businesses to add the Google Guaranteed badge to their GMB listing for $50USD per month. Google is currently evaluating this function. To get the Google Guaranteed badge on their profile, a company must pass a screening process similar to the one used by Local Services. Customers will be able to select you more quickly, according to Google. For businesses to be profitable at SEO, this is a highly competitive feature to retain, and it must be shown in the primary keywords section of your GMB page.
This functionality, in my view, would be beneficial to companies who have already developed themselves in their niche market. Long-term, I imagine it would be difficult to contend for competitive and non-primary long-tail keywords. I believe it would be very useful for companies who have already developed themselves in a local niche market and can upgrade their Google My Company listings to the Google Guaranteed badge.
Those considering this upgrade should consider whether their company will compete with those larger competitors. They can get a Google Guaranteed badge by upgrading their GMB profile. This feature, in my opinion, is ideally suited for companies with a longer runway in their niche market and a desire to remain at the top of it. For those already deep in the competition, I assume this feature would be of little benefit in the short term.
This update, in my opinion, would be a fantastic tool for companies who have developed themselves as market leaders. For businesses that are focused on increasing and expanding, I assume this feature would be of little benefit.
